Missy Elliott and Timbaland Talk Block Party in New Video

It's been a long time coming, but it looks as if Missy Elliott's new album is finally picking up steam. The iconic rapper, who hasn't released an album since 2005's The Cookbook, has been working on a disc with the working title Block Party for years, but a new video featuring her and super-producer Timbaland gives hope that the set will drop soon. If anything, it has been confirmed that the record is Timbo's top priority right now.

The clip, which you can see below, was recorded in the producer's studio and gives the low-down on the status of the album, as well as Timbaland's follow-up to his 2009 LP Shock Value 2. The team, which proved to be super successful over the years with trailblazing singles like "Get Ur Freak On" and "Work It," is apparently glad to be back together after some time apart.

"For all those of you who are saying Tim and Missy ain't working together, this is live and proof," Timbo said. "We never stopped working, we just figured out how to come back out and what to do."

Last month, the duo dropped the "Take Ur Clothes Off" single via his Timbaland Thursdays and it proved the two were ready to get back to business.

Timbaland admitted that his schedule is hectic right now, but will be putting the finishing touches on Missy's album before anything else.

"Missy is coming out first so I'm on overload right now," he confirmed.

There has yet to be a proper release date for Block Party, but things are looking up.
