Inspired by the 1994 movie of the same name, the EP arrives June 23

Manitoba's Mise en Scene have announced Reality Bites, a new EP inspired by the 1994 movie of the same name. It's arriving June 23 on Light Organ Records, and alongside the announcement, the duo have also shared a video for the sterling title track.

About the "Reality Bites" video, vocalist/guitarist Stefanie Blondal-Johnson said, "I knew we wanted to film a music video in this wonderful old laundry mat in Gimli, Manitoba where we grew up. It has a nostalgic look (and smell) and reminds me of being a kid with my mom in the hot summers washing our sheets and doing laundry there."

The Reality Bites EP is the follow-up to 2020's Winnipeg, California, and finds the pair working with producer John Paul Peters, recording the record at his Private Ear Recording studio in Winnipeg. If "Reality Bites" is anything to go by, the EP will be another welcome serving of the band's sun-drenched guitar pop.
