We already learned about the upcoming Pop Alliance Compilation from CiTR 101.9 FM and Mint Records, which brings together some of the finest players in the Vancouver indie scene. Now, the vinyl is finally ready to go, and the Scratch Records shop will be presenting a show to celebrate the release.

The concert well be held on February 24 at Vancouver's Interurban Gallery, directly adjacent to the new Scratch Records location at 1 East Hastings St. It will feature performances from some of the acts who appear on the compilation. Already confirmed to appear are Slam Dunk (who just released an album of their own), Fanshaw, Shane Turner Overdrive and Role Mach. The evening will also feature installations from local artists Jeffry Lee and Ryan Walter Wagner and expect more acts to be announced closer to the date.

Admission is $10 and will be a dollar or two cheaper if you purchase advance tickets from Scratch, Zulu or Red Cat. The compilation will be limited to 200 vinyl copies, which will be sold at the event.

The comp also features such artists as No Kids, Apollo Ghosts, Fine Mist and Watermelon. Read up on the contents of the record right here.
