Published Oct 29, 2013Venerable Vancouver imprint Mint Records has announced the details behind its annual and appropriately titled Ridiculously Early Xmas Party. This year's roster-repping holiday treat goes down November 30 at Vancouver's Ukrainian Hall.
A press release for the party notes that the show will feature sets from Mint artists that have issued LPs this year, like Jay Arner, Edmonton's Renny Wilson and recent signees Tough Age, whose self-titled debut drops November 12.
Other acts attached to the event include instrumental outfit the Ramblin' Ambassadors, Nardwuar on his band the Evaporators, Fake Tears and Shawn Mrazek Lives! The show poster, which you can see up above, hints that even more acts may appear onstage for the pre-Christmas gig.
In addition to the acts onstage, CiTR DJ Duncan McHugh (Duncan's Donuts), who has curated the Mint/CiTR Pop Alliance comps, will be spinning records between sets.
Tickets are on sale now at local record shops Red Cat and Zulu for $10, though a cover charge at the door brings the price up to $13. Proceeds from the event will go to SAINTS, a charity for senior and special needs animals, as well as to Girls Rock Camp Vancouver.
