Mint Records Announces Ridiculously Early Xmas Party

Mint Records has contributed a lot to Vancouver's musical landscape during the last two decades, and one area where it is especially generous is with its annual Ridiculously Early Xmas Party. The long-running festivity has had a storied history, from Nardwuar and the Evaporators' famed Franz Ferdinand collaboration in 2006 (see video below) to an endless amount of quality acts, door prizes, and treats, which, yes, include those delicious Pocky sticks.

This year looks to be no different, as Mint has revealed the details for its 2010 Ridiculously Early Xmas Party. The festivities will go down on December 3 at the Biltmore Cabaret and will include performances from the Evaporators, Carolyn Mark, Fanshaw, Hot Panda, Kellarissa, Geoff Berner and Laura Barrett. The event will also serve as the vinyl release party for Fanshaw's Dark Eyes record.

Advance tickets for the event are $12 and are available from Scratch, Red Cat and Zulu. All proceeds for the event will go to Senior Animals in Need Today Society (SAINTS). To sweeten the deal, the first 75 attendees will receive Christmas presents from this impressive list of sponsors:

Six Cent Press, Neptoon Records, Black Hen, Nardwuar, Fuzzy Logic Records, the Regional Assembly of Text, Out Of This Spark Records, Northern Electric, Ache Records, Aquarius Records, Audiopile, Bone Rattle, Indie Music Video Festival, Bongo Beat, La-Ti-Da Records, Scratch, Zulu, Red Cat, Punk Books, Long & McQuade, Happy Bats Cinema, Black Dog Video, Grant Lawrence, Deranged Records, Dandelion Records, Pocky

So dig out that Santa Hat and bring the cheer ridiculously early.
