Published Nov 17, 2018The cover of Minor Threat's 1985 EP Salad Days is a truly iconic photo, showing the four band members sitting on the front porch of their label Dischord Records. Now, the members of the Washington DC hardcore band have gotten together to recreate the photo.
Band members Ian MacKaye, Lyle Preslar, Brian Baker, and Jeff Nelson were all at Dischord House in Arlington, VA. They recreated the classic image, right down to the leg-crossing and hand-clasping. Bassist Brian Baker posted the photo on Instagram along with the caption "Senior Threat."
Apparently, Minor Threat have done a number of these reunion photos over the years. Baker told WTOP, "Jeff insists that we always take a porch shot for posterity when the four of us are at Dischord. This is just the first one we've had taken since I've had an Instagram account."
There's no indication that Minor Threat are any closer to a musical reunion. That being said, singer Ian MacKaye is reuniting with one of his old Fugazi pals in a new project. Check out the "Senior Threat" photo below.
The famous Dischord House is no longer used as the HQ of Dischord Records, although Ian still has an office there.
