Ministry's Al Jourgensen Promises Collaborations with Trent Reznor and Lil Wayne

Al Jourgensen is bringing his industrial band Ministry to an end with the release of From Beer to Eternity on September 6. That won't be the end of Jourgensen's musical endeavours, however, since he's revealed that he has new collaborations in the works with Lil Wayne and Trent Reznor.

Not much is known about these projects, but he told Billboard that the team-up with Reznor could "wrap a bow on the entire industrial era. It's a little contrived and conceptualized, unlike the Lil Wayne thing. I don't know what the hell's gonna happen with that one."

What's more, Jourgensen is eying some follow-up books to his recent biography, Ministry: The Lost Gospels According to Al Jourgensen. "According to [co-writer Jon] Wiederhorn I've got enough stuff on paper for another three or four books, with names mentioned and no prisoners taken," he said. "I think the second one will be much harsher than the first one, way more debauch than the first. And we'll see what happens from there."

He's also working on a futuristic novel called Mindfuck, plus a comic book featuring an "arch enemy who's based on Ted Nugent. I fight for good, for right, and this guy just shoots deer and writes songs about vaginas."

Finally, the previously promised DVD Ministry: Enjoy the Quiet — Live at Wacken 2012 is due out on August 27.

Stay tuned for details on all these projects to emerge in due course.
