Swedish pop punk lifers Millencolin have existed for 23 years — one year longer than their For Monkeys hit. Rather than call it quits or slow things down, they're returning with a new album called True Brew later this month. You can stream the whole thing here now on Exclaim!
The album was recorded at the band's own Soundlab Studios and mixed by Jens Bogren. It features 13 new compositions from the band.
In a press release, they explained that the album is "a slight return to our musical roots and a modern take on why we started Millencolin in the first place." That much is true — they've revisited their penchant for beefy octave chords and quick melodies, but refused to revisit their occasional ska tendencies. The results sound pretty damn good.
Listen to the premiere of Millencolin's True Brew below. The album arrives on April 28 via Epitaph.
