Miley Cyrus Sings About Breakup with Liam Hemsworth on "Slide Away"

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Aug 16, 2019

Miley Cyrus has released a new track called "Slide Away," and listeners are convinced that it's a breakup jam about Liam Hemsworth.

The track hears Cyrus sing, "I want my house in the hills / Don't want the whiskey and pills."

Recent reports from Cyrus's camp claim that the breakup had to do with Hemsworth's drug and alcohol use, while reports from Hemsworth's camp claim that Cyrus cheated on him.

Miley's new track is also accompanied by single artwork that sees whiskey bottles and pills floating around in a pool — so it seems like that's the story she's sticking to.

Listen to "Slide Away" below.

Cyrus and Hemsworth announced their separation earlier this week. They were married last December, after dating on-and-off for ten years.
