Published Aug 30, 2015The MTV VMAs are a central part of the pop cultural zeitgeist, as is the surprise free album drop. As such, it was fair to assume that someone would deliver a top secret project to the masses. But it wasn't Kanye West, Justin Bieber or Nicki Minaj treating their fans to a surprise on Sunday night. Instead, it was host Miley Cyrus.
The long-expected release is called Miley & Her Dead Petz, and sees the performer working alongside the Flaming Lips' Wayne Coyne, hip-hop producer/frequent collaborator Mike WiLL Made-It, Big Sean, Phantogram's Sarah Barthel and, perhaps most surprisingly, Ariel Pink.
The 23-song release arrived for free via Miley's website. The album can be streamed in full below, where you'll also find a new video for lead-off track "Dooo It."
