Miles Structure vs. Happiness

Munich’s Miles are a happy bunch, and their North American debut, Structure vs. Happiness, is an uplifting pop record filled with fun, happiness and plenty of sunshine. Compiled of songs from their first two albums, Structure... is a tribute to the great American pop song, created by the Beach Boys and continued by the likes of Big Star, Matthew Sweet, the Posies and Weezer. The guitars of Mike Silver and Tobias Kuhn are fast tools that occasionally noodle around with interesting effects in the most flattering way. Kuhn’s voice is also another high point, shining brightly on animated tracks like "Happening” and the Flaming Lips-ish "Where Does It All Belong To.” It’s about time this band reaches our shores, because North Americans could really use something this radio worthy for its current and sorry state.
