Mike Skinner and Robert Harvey's D.O.T. Announce Sophomore Album

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Mar 1, 2013

It's only been a few months since former Streets spitter Mike Skinner and ex-Music vocalist Robert Harvey issued their D.O.T. project's debut LP And That, but the pair have already announced a follow-up. Titled Diary, it arrives in the UK on May 6.

Last night (February 28), the pair premiered a video for first single "How We All Lie," which has Skinner and Harvey singing the song while walking through some English parks and city streets. Skinner added that the lyrics home in on everyday life.

"'How We All Lie' was written in a very traditional way, apart from the MPC drum machine that started it all off," he said in a statement. "There are a lot of references to the football section of the newspapers that day, because it fit with the theme of the way we have to lie to reassure ourselves that we are part of society."

The band also revealed Diary's tracklisting, but it's unclear at the moment if any special guests stop by on the upcoming song cycle. Rapper Danny Brown had contributed to And That's "You Never Asked."
