At this point, there's not much celebrated Faith No More vocalist Mike Patton can do to surprise us. That said, we still can help but being taken aback to learn that he's set to sing the American national anthem at an NFL playoffs game.
As a press release confirms, Patton will be singing "The Star-Spangled Banner" at the Dallas Cowboys vs. Los Angeles Rams game on Saturday (January 12).
We don't know much more than that, but if you want to tune in, the game is taking place in L.A. and starts at 8:15 p.m. EST.
UPDATE: Patton ended up cancelling his NFL performance, saying he woke up feeling ill.
Perhaps this is just the beginning of what could be some ultra-bizarre Maroon 5/Travis Scott collaboration.
