Migos Break Down the Dab on FOX's 'Good Day New York'

Whether it be in music or sports, dabbing has become one of the most popular and recognizable dance moves of the past few months. In further documenting the dance's lineage with hard-hitting journalism, New York's FOX 5 hosted dab originators Migos on Good Day New York to provide a live demonstration of the viral dance.

Lined up on the studio set, Offset, Quavo and Takeoff broke down the dance for show hosts Greg Kelly and Rosanna Scotto. "Dabbing is a way of fashion," Quavo explained. "It's like when you're swagging, but we don't call it swag no more, the new word for swag is called dab."

In explaining the arm motion, Offset recounted the times the trio put the move into practice each time a beat dropped when performing live. "We didn't think of it as a dance, the world picked it up." When asked if the dab has an expiration date, Offset simply replied "no, we dabbin' forever."

The triplet-spitting trio then showed off their skill as dance originators with a performance of dab anthem "Look at My Dab," which you can watch in the player below. We can only hope Jay Z tuned in this morning, as he definitely could use some pointers.
