With Flight of the Conchords most likely put to rest, fans of off-kilter, foreign comedy duos should take note that UK weirdos the Mighty Boosh are expanding on the success of their cult TV show. The pairing, which consists of Noel Fielding and Julian Barratt, are currently hard at work on both an album and a film.

In an interview with BBC Newsbeat, Noel Fielding revealed some information about the projects, saying, "We're writing a film at the moment and an album, so hopefully [they'll be out] next year."

While he wouldn't give many more details about the projects, Fielding did say that the film might be a departure from their usual wild adventures. "We try and do, on TV, quite magical epic journeys and we thought if you're doing a film we should really do it in one room, basically just kind of a sitcom for 90 minutes," he said. "So we might do that. We might do exactly what we didn't do on TV."
