Baz Luhrmann is set to premiere six episodes of Netflix program The Get Down tomorrow (August 12), and after the arrival of soundtrack singles from Miguel and Janelle Monáe, Michael Kiwanuka and Nas have linked up to deliver another in "Rule the World (I Came From the City)."
Premiered through Ebro Darden's Beats 1 program today, the snippet of the track sees Kiwanuka deliver a soulful hook while Nas raps from the viewpoint of his character on the show, Mr. Brooks, telling tales of dangerous locales and civil unrest. The MC also serves as one of the show's executive producers.
