Michael Jackson

"Love Never Felt So Good" (ft. Justin Timberlake)

BY Gregory AdamsPublished May 2, 2014

The first taste of Michael Jackson's next posthumous release, XSCAPE, arrived last night (May 1), equipped with some assistance from Justin Timberlake. The pair's "Love Never Felt So Good" is available to stream now.

The track recalls MJ's late '70s, Off the Wall period, with its discofied beats, conga taps and sparkling, percussive guitar hits. As the track rolls out smoothly, the late vocalist weighs in how fine it feels to be held by the one he loves; Timberlake, who has clearly picked up a thing or two from Jackson over the years, follows suit with much of the same.

Big strings and synth blasts abound, making for a danceable love jam halfway between the former's "It's the Falling In Love" and the latter's "Take Back the Night." You can check out the duet down below. XSCAPE arrives May 13 via Epic Records.
