Those who were won over by Michael Bernard Fitzgerald's 2009 debut The MBF Love LP will get a double dose of the Calgary pop songwriter in 2012. In addition to releasing the full-length Yes: Side A on April 24 via Lazers and Danger/EMI, he will drop the EP Yes: Side B when he hits the road for an upcoming Canadian tour.
The Side A full-length was recorded in Los Angeles with Brian West (Nelly Furtado, K'naan) and John Levine. We'll get a taste of the album when the single "Follow" drops on February 21.
As for the Side B EP, it was recorded in Calgary with previous collaborator Russell Broom (Jann Arden, Sam Roberts). The exact release date has yet to be confirmed, but a press release explains that it will be "released and on sale in conjunction with MBF's upcoming national tour."
As for that tour, it will begin later this month and last until the end of March, in which time MBF will travel to both coasts.
