Mica Levi Announces Soundtrack to 'Jackie,' Premieres "Children"

After dishing out plans to score a new Natalie Portman-starring political biopic, Mica Levi has shared the details of its soundtrack release. Due out via Milan Records, the soundtrack to Jackie will arrive on December 2.

As previously reported, the film centres on former first lady Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and was directed by Pablo Larraín. A synopsis for the upcoming biopic reads:

Jackie is a searing and intimate portrait of one of the most important and tragic moments in American history, seen through the eyes of the iconic first lady, then Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy (Natalie Portman). Jackie places us in her world during the days immediately following her husband's assassination. Known for her extraordinary dignity and poise, here we see a psychological portrait of the first lady as she struggles to maintain her husband's legacy and the world of "Camelot" that they created and loved so well.

Levi's score will mark her first since she crafted her stellar soundtrack to Jonathan Glazer's 2014 sci-fi flick Under the Skin, for which she received a BAFTA nomination.
