Mia Dyson

"When We're Older"

BY Matthew RitchiePublished Mar 4, 2014

Gravel-voiced singer-songwriter Mia Dyson has received countless amounts of critical and commercial acclaim in her native Australia and abroad thanks to performances alongside Stevie Nicks, Bonnie Raitt and Eric Clapton, as well as having scored nominations and awards from the Australian Recording Industry Association. Now, the blues-based performer (who happens to be the daughter of legendary guitar maker/blues artist Jim Dyson) is ready to take on North America, as she's just announced plans to drop the follow-up to her 2012 LP, The Moment, sometime in June. While you wait for the album's release, tide yourself over by listening to the premiere of new single "When We're Older" on Exclaim.ca.

Continuing on with her guitar-heavy power pop sound, listen as the syrupy crooner sings about a love that transcends space and time, while chugging riffs and pounding drums hold everything neatly together here in reality.

"When We're Older" can be downloaded for free on Dyson's website on March 5 and purchased on iTunes two days later (March 7). She'll also be hosting a pre-order for her as-yet-untitled fifth full-length through PledgeMusic sometime in the near future.
