Seventeen years after introducing himself as the Metal Face Villain, MF DOOM has just announced another repress of his landmark debut, Operation: Doomsday. To celebrate this latest re-release, an animated video has been put together for album classic "Gas Drawls."
Prepped by Dustooned, the video finds a cartoon DOOM cavorting through city streets, either smoking stogies or linking up with identical twins. The vid also includes some smiley anthropomorphic beat-appreciators, a visual nod to DOOM's old KMD project, and the swaying, three-headed building first found on the cover of DOOM's King Geedorah LP, Take Me to Your Leader.
You can watch the Monster Island street scene for the Steely Dan-sampling piece via the player below.
The latest Operation: Doomsday repress is available now via Rappcats, while supplies last. The collection has been pressed onto red and black vinyl. You'll find more info on the release over here.
