Toronto noise pop merchants METZ are prepping for both the release of their self-titled debut on Sub Pop, and a number of globetrotting tour dates to support it. Hoping to stoke the fires a little more before either arrives is the newly launched "Wet Blanket" single.
The song starts up with peels of distortion before wrenching into a conflagration of hammered-out drums, speaker-blowing guitar melodies and bespectacled six-stringer-frontman Alex Edkins's distorted cries of "you'll never be the same."
