Published May 29, 2012Metric's Synthetica, due out June 12 through Metric Music International, has already earned the Toronto band a spot on Exclaim!'s cover, and now the band are stoking our anticipation even further by announcing an online scavenger hunt for an album stream and confirming a hometown show on Synthetica's release day.
A press release notes that the scavenger hunt "asks fans to gather a series of images and hidden keywords from across the internet. Sleuthing out clues on their own, or banding together on the bands social media pages, finding enough clues will ultimately unlock an early album stream of Synthetica for the most resourceful fans, up to two weeks before its release."
These clues could apparently be anywhere, so be sure to cast a wide net, and go to the game's official website to learn more.
As for that Toronto show, it will take place on June 12 at the Opera House in Toronto. The bulk of the tickets will be given away to fans who follow the band on Twitter, "like" them on Facebook or subscribe to their email list. Details will be confirmed confirmed soon via those sources.
Also, starting June 1, ten pairs of tickets will be auctioned off through (RED) with proceeds going to benefit the fight against AIDS.
