As we reported yesterday, Toronto's K'naan will be dropping his highly anticipated second album on February 24. Recorded at the legendary Tuff Gong Studio in Jamaica, Troubadour is packed with some impressive guest appearances as well as big name producers.
The star-studded affair includes Maroon 5's Adam Levine, Chubb Rock, Damian Marley, Mos Def, Jurassic 5's Chali Tuna and perhaps most interesting of all, Metallica's Kirk Hammett. Speaking to Spinner.com recently, K'naan revealed he met Hammett at Bonnaroo through Stephen Marley and invited Hammett to "kind of constantly affect the genre-hopping. I thought, 'What could be better than having him on a great guitar solo?'"
Behind the boards, K'naan also has an impressive list of names, including Track and Field (Nelly Furtado), Soulshock and Karlin (2Pac, Notorious B.I.G., Mary J. Blige), Minnesota (Mos Def) and Kerry "Krucial" Brothers (Alicia Keys).
