While Metallica fans await footage from their upcoming 3D concert film and enjoy their live archive, they can add another release to their wish list with the announcement of a new live DVD.
According to a post on the band's site, the release will be culled from two Quebec City shows on the band's 2009 "World Magnetic" tour.
"There are still some 'i's' being dotted and 't's' crossed , so we can't give you a name or fancy logo just yet, but we're pretty excited that for the first time we get to hold all the reins on a release from start to finish," the band wrote, adding that the project will carry a suggested retail price of $15.98 for both the double DVD and Blu-ray release.
For now, the project has the working title of Quebec Magnetic. You can check out the tracklisting, which was voted on by Metallica fans, below.
The release will hit stores on December 10, and the cover is available above.
