Published Nov 20, 2014Metal icons Metallica have been spending a week-long residency on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson (though we're guessing Lars Ulrich isn't putting on that same disheveled shirt every day, and that they instead recorded a week's worth of material at once). Last night saw the band perform "For Whom the Bell Tolls."
The Ride the Lightning classic was performed with precision and heft, which makes sense since they recorded it 30 years ago. What's most interesting about these appearances is watching an arena-sized band like Metallica perform on such a tiny stage.
