Merzbow Hits Canada on Upcoming Tour

Legendary Japanese noise artist Merzbow (a.k.a. Masami Akita) is as renowned for his ear-piercing live shows as he is for his enormous discography. A decent chunk of Canadian fans will get to experience the former in the flesh, as the performer has announced a slate of tour dates.

Following a brief trek through France and a single date in London, England, Merzbow will hit Victoriaville, QC for an appearance at Festival International de Musique Actuelle de Victoriaville.

From there, he'll head west, with scheduled appearances set up in Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver. The last three shows will include support from long-running Vancouver noise performer Holzkopf.
