Merganzer is the solo project of Mika Posen — violinist for Timber Timbre, Agnes Obel and Evening Hymns — and she's unveiled a new video for "My Heart Palpitates."
The track appears on Merganzer's new album Montage, which was released last week via So Sorry Records.
The video features visuals by Sonya Stefan. It wasn't commissioned by Posen, but rather Stefan commissioned the music by Posen before it was released.
"This is a meditative video on family and landscape," Stefan said in a statement. "The work was filmed on expired 16mm ends, without any effects, and features one young character. The film has no dialogue and travels from Grandes-Bergeronnes to Bonaventure to Percé [in Quebec], capturing gentleness and grandeur."
