Mercury Rev have unveiled another single from their forthcoming album The Light in You, which poses the question "Are You Ready?"
Given that the band's last album was 2008's Snowflake Midnight, fans are probably answering the titular query with a resounding "yes." And the wait may well be worth it if the joyous new tune is any indication.
It opens with a burst of twinkling, choral harmonies before morphing into a catchy psych-pop jam. The vibe stays in line with the jukebox's "psychedelic rock and blue eyed soul" that Jonathan Donahue sings about.
