Mercury Girls is a new Toronto post-punk quartet fronted by Grace Scott and rounded out by Julia MacKinnon, Mike Grdosic and, notably, Fucked Up's Jonah Falco. The group have just released their debut demo, which is available to stream now.
The four songs demonstrate the group's penchant for gloomy, anthemic post-punk. There are brooding vocals, bright guitar leads and generally memorable arrangements.
The demo can be streamed below, or purchased on cassette here. Frankly, we wouldn't be surprised if someone scooped these songs up and pressed them onto a 7-inch.
