The Men

"I Saw Her Face" (video)

VHS music videos are all the rage these days, and now we've got another courtesy of sonically evolving Brooklyn punk act the Men, who filmed a grainy tape clip for "I Saw Her Face" from the recent New Moon (available through Sacred Bones).

The clip that accompanies this heavy, psychedelically rocking track is grainy and showcases some decidedly vintage-looking effects. We see lingering closeups of the band members, and we're even introduced to them by name prior to a climactic, hair-whipping guitar solo in front of the city skyline.

Drummer Rich Samis said in a statement, "This was shot in December 2012 at our friend Alexander Perrelli's apartment. All video effects were generated through the use of commercial grade video mixers and enhancers. The raw video footage was shot entirely on vhs cameras. Our friend Brian Chillemi was nice enough to help us out in the painstaking process of editing this video. Brian and our buddy ZZ Ramirez helped out with the camera work. Nick's guitar is actually on fire on some shots. We like it."
