Members of Yukon Blonde, Rah Rah, Northcote and Library Voices Team Up to Release Debut Album as Teenland

The name Teenland may be new, but the members of the newly formed group are likely familiar to anyone who follows Canadian indie music. Consisting of Matt Goud (Northcote), Leif Thorseth (Rah Rah), Graham Jones (Yukon Blonde) and Michael Dawson (Library Voices), the band will release a self-titled album on November 19.

The album's nine tracks were written over just two evenings, which was followed by two afternoons of rehearsals and then two days of recording at Bully's Studios in New Westminster, BC. Michael Kraushaar (Johnny de Courcy, Black Wizard) handled engineering and mixing duties. A note on Bandcamp explains, "We wanted to get together and make a record just for fun. Remember fun?"

The parentheses-friendly tracklist is below. As you can see, it includes a version of Molly's Lips (originally by the Vaselines and famously covered by Nirvana). That's the album cover above.

Scroll past the tracklist to hear the summery fuzz-pop number "Adventure Romance (The '89 Blue Jays)."

2. Storefront Arizona (Lo-fi High)

6. Young & Foolish (Warm Up the Hi-fi)
