A group of David Bowie collaborators from across the late music icon's career are coming together for a tribute tour.
The "Celebrating David Bowie Tour" will feature King Crimson's Adrian Belew, Fishbone vocalist Angelo Moore, pianist Mike Garson, Gerry Leonard, Carmine Rojas and more. The tour's website also hints at the appearance of "additional special guests" along the run.
The site promises, "Friends, Bowie bandmates & world class players performing a career spanning concert of Bowie music, Bowie-style."
Garson had previously toured with Bowie behind The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and recorded piano tracks for Aladdin Sane, while Belew served as music director for the Sound+Vision tour. Rojas' basslines can be heard on songs including "Let's Dance" and "Modern Love," while Leonard lent his guitar playing to late-career efforts Heathen, Reality and The Next Day.
The trek will kick off in Paris on January 10 of next year, and will see the group travel throughout North America and Europe for 26 dates. For Canadian shows, the tour will hit up Montreal on February 17 and Toronto on February 18.
