Aussie punks Amyl and the Sniffers have been forced to cancel several upcoming performances after two members of the band contracted COVID on tour.

Frontwoman Amy Taylor and drummer Gus Romer have tested positive for the virus, according to a recent post from the band, which shows a rapid antigen test bearing those fated two bars.

"FROM AGILE TO FRAGILE," Taylor wrote on Instagram. "The Amyl live show in Barcelona and our appearances at Jenny Beth and Trans Musicales Rennes festival are cancelled as me (Amy) and Gus have unfortunately tested positive to COVID. We'll be right but I am so sad to have to cancel. News for New York when we know more. Love Amy Gus Dec Bryce lol."

Despite the frontwoman's accompanying crying selfie, it appears the band remain in good spirits about the diagnosis, writing that they are "very disappointed but safety and health first."

So far, other dates on the Sniffers' North American tour in support of 2021 album Comfort to Me appear unaffected. The group are due to touch down for a trio of Canadian shows in May. See the full schedule here.
