Megan Thee Stallion and Dua Lipa are two of our most reliable big-budget hit-makers, neither of whom are strangers to an opulent, over-the-top music video. It's kinda surprising that it's taken them this long to team up, but the wait is officially over.
Meg and Dua have shared their new collaborative single "Sweetest Pie," which comes attached to a ridiculous, fairytale-inspired video courtesy of the king of spectacle himself Dave Meyers.
The video finds the pop titans ruling over a CGI realm full of magic, cakes, lady-shaped trees and chambers constructed from bouncing butts. The bonkers visual effects are pretty much nonstop, including a spider crawling beneath Dua's skin, Meg's eyeballs giving you the middle finger, Dua slicing her own face like a cake, and Meg floating above a bed made from a giant cobra.
The fantasy-meets-horror concepts are credited to Megan Thee Stallion, who's a known fan of all things dark and spooky. "Sweetest Pie" is reportedly the first taste of the rap megastar's forthcoming album.
