Published May 13, 2011Toronto, ON singer-songwriter Megan Bonnell is gearing up to make her entrance on Nevado Records with a new four-song EP, entitled MAPS. The release isn't out until June 21, but as an introduction to her music, she's just dropped a video for EP track "South Korea."
The video demonstrates just how many interesting things can happen with a sheet of clear glass and some paint, as Bonnell paints herself into corners, forests and faces while the sparse, melancholy folk pop song plays on. As the song grows in intensity, colours are added to the palette for more striking visuals. It's a charming, tasteful way to complement the song without coming off as gimmicky.
