Megadeth's Dave Mustaine Signs on as Manager of Canadian Metal Band Baptized in Blood
Dave Mustaine is a metal legend of many colours. As if founding Megadeth, arguably the cornerstone of the Big Four, wasn't enough, you have to give the guy credit for his shredding skills, his newfound career as an author and, uh, being the guy that got kicked out of Metallica. And now there's news that Mustaine is adding one more title to his many ranks: band manager.

The veteran metal head has signed on to co-manage London, ON upstarts Baptized in Blood , whose self-titled debut drops via Roadrunner Records on October 19.

According to the group's press release, Mustaine was so impressed by Baptized in Blood's vicious blend of whip crack, Swedish-style melodic death metal and glam that he insisted on handling its affairs.

Already having made its name touring with Fear Factory in the US, as well as making cross-Canada jaunts with Shadows Fall and Hatebreed , not to mention playing to 15,000 people at last summer's Heavy MTL Festival in Montreal, the addition of Mustaine banging his head in the background whilst pushing pencils is another milestone in the fledgling Canuck troupe's already impressive career. See the tracklist for the band's upcoming album below.
