Megadeth

Killing Is My Business... And Business Is Good!

BY Greg PrattPublished May 1, 2002

Re-releases are generally annoying to fans of the band at hand, but this re-release of Megadeth's classic debut is a treat. The band supplies us with the original artwork, great "track by track" liner notes, a few bonus demo tracks and, most importantly, a remastered album. The original was great, but practically a wall of static with the original recording sound. When I listened to this disc, I felt like I was hearing some of these songs for the first time, and they sounded great. Given Megadeth's permanently confused status brought on by lukewarm response to The World Needs A Hero and Risk, this one will either give the band a nice dose of inspiration or serve as a final reminder to the great thrash that once was.
