The Meaning of Life "She Never Screams"

The Meaning of Life "She Never Screams"
Brooklyn-based indie pop unit the Meaning of Life are gearing up to release an EP next month, but you can preview the new material with the exclusive premiere of "She Never Screams" right here on Exclaim.ca.

Seemingly an ode to girls' two best friends, the forthcoming EP is titled Diamonds and Junkfood and was recorded at Converse's Rubber Tracks Studios in Brooklyn. The new collection of tunes borrows elements of '80s shoegaze and new wave, though the song writing and structuring boasts a '60s pop sensibility.

"She Never Screams" blends Marta DeLeon's airy vocals with heavy, swirling guitars — creating a number that would fit in just fine in the world of late-'60s pyschedelia.

Diamonds and Junkfood arrives on February 17, but you can give "She Never Screams" a spin in the player below right now.
