Mdou Moctor — the guitar hero born Mahamadou Souleymane — is expanding last year's Afrique Victime LP with nine previously unreleased songs, including studio outtake "Nakanegh Dich," which you can hear now.

Afrique Victime (Deluxe Edition) drops this Thursday (February 24) via Matador, exclusively on digital streaming platforms. The collection brings together unheard live recordings, demos and studio outtakes.

"These are a mix of demos from Niger and some live tracks from touring around the world, when we were still working out the songs together as a band," bassist and producer Mikey Coltun said in a press release. "These are fun and different early versions of the songs."

Of the sizzling newly shared track, which was recorded in Los Angeles with Rob Schnapf during the sessions for the album, Coltun added: "This is Mdou's very first time using a wah pedal. At some point, Mdou called Rob into the studio and asked him to control the wah with his foot while Mdou shredded a solo."

Listen to "Nakanegh Dich" below, where you'll likewise find the full album tracklist.

Afrique Victime was one of Exclaim!'s 50 Best Albums of 2021, while the record's title track made our list of the 30 Best Songs of 2021.
