Over the weekend, Frank Ocean unleashed two albums on the world with Endless and Blonde. While that gave us plenty to chew on, he upped the munchable content even further by giving us Boys Don't Cry — a magazine that featured a poem about McDonald's from one Kanye West.
Yeezy's fast-food nursery rhyme had the internet in a tizzy thanks to its ridiculous storyline, which explored the conflicts between McDonald's menu items, not to mention the lovable smoothness of the apple pie. It's dumb as hell, but we can't stop reading it.
Days later, McDonald's has finally weighed in on Kanye's salty stanzas, offering a response to the rapper's deep-fried verses. Taking to Twitter, McD's appeared to have some beef with West's accusation that they used "artificial meat."
Since no brand can tweet without using some millennial-friendly emojis, they also included the "100" logo when defending their burg beef.
McDonald's isn't alone in obsessing over Kanye's verbal value meal. Fellow rapper Joey Bada$$ decided to recite the poem in an appearance on Hot 97. Read along with the video below.
The McDonald's Man:
McDonalds man
McDonalds man
The French fries had a plan
the French fries had a plan
The salad bar and the ketchup made a band
Cus the French fries had a plan
The French fries had a plan
McDonalds man
McDonalds
I know them French fries have a plan
I know them French fries have a plan
The cheeseburger and the shakes formed a band
To overthrow the French fries plan
I always knew them French fries was evil man
Smelling all good and shit
I don't trust no food that smells that good man
I don't trust it
I just can't
McDonalds man
McDonalds man
McDonalds, damn
Them French fries look good tho
I knew the diet Coke was jealous of the fries
I knew the McNuggets was jealous of the fries
Even the McRib was jealous of the fries
I could see it through his artificial meat eyes
And he only be there some of the time
Everybody was jealous of them French fries
Except for that one special guy
That smooth apple pie
