One-man band and one-time Hamilton mayoral candidate Mayor McCA (a.k.a. CA Smith) is celebrating 20 years of music-making this year, and to mark the occasion, he's coming out of retirement for a pair of anniversary performances.

A pair of November evenings will see Smith reform Mayor McCA with original members, first in Toronto on the bill for Meligrove Band's final show at Lee's Palace on November 24. That concert will also feature the Bicycles. The following evening will bring Smith and company to the Casbah in Hamilton, where they'll take the stage alongside Bird City.

Smith delivered three albums as Mayor McCA through storied Hamilton label Sonic Unyon: 1997's Busboy, 1999's Welcome to McCAland and 2001's Me Is He. He delivered El Limb Men Oh Pee through McCaland Recordyngs in 2003 before moving to the UK in 2005.

While living across the pond, Smith toured using his birthname and the Mayor McCA moniker, also lining up alongside Nick Oliveri, Slow Club, Feist, Magic Numbers and more. He delivered the full-length Someone You Love as CA Smith in 2012.
