It's been nearly three years since Maylee Todd delivered Acts of Love, and the Toronto-based composer won't keep listeners waiting for new music any longer. New single "No Other" is out now.
The track features little more than Tenori-on synth (as highlighted by the single artwork), sparse drums and Todd's heartfelt R&B vocal stylings, but it's more than enough to convey the track's lovestruck atmosphere.
The intimate subtlety is furthered by lyrics like "Evening comes and evening goes / The morning wakes, you kiss my toes" and "There is no other kind of love / You're the only one I'm thinking of."
The single's release comes with the announcement that Todd has signed to U.S. label Stones Throw. More new music is promised in 2021.
