Chapel Hill's the Mayflies USA have released a record that makes it okay for Teenage Fanclub to record every three years. There are songs about girls, snappy melodies, fuzzy guitars and three different singers. Their third full-length, Walking In A Straight Line, is wholehearted guitar-based pop in its simplest form. No flashy guitar solos or ridiculous subject matter, the music here is sweet, sonically driven and easy on the most delicate ears.
