Ryan Hemsworth has been releasing other artists' music through his not-a-label Secret Songs. The third of these is an exclusive cut called "Nice Feelings" by Maxo x Jonathan.
The song is a woozy, slow-moving electro-funk number. Hemsworth had this to say in a statement: "i'm dubbing this the Month of Maxo. i was playing 3DS with some of my nerd friends the other day and had a Maxo playlist going and every few tracks my buddies were like 'this is.. the same guy as before?' it's that knack for having such a huge catalogue of wide-ranging genres and sounds, and being able to nail them all in an effortless way, which is making me mad he's not the most popular dude right now. hopefully y'all see the brilliance and can help us make this.. the Month of Maxo."
As for the other collaborator on this track, Jonathan Baken, he makes up one-half of the electronic duo George & Jonathan.
In related news, Hemsworth is curating a Secret Songs showcase at NXNE in Toronto. This will take place on June 20 at Adelaide Hall and will feature Hemsworth plus Mas Ysa, Evy Jane, Tennyson, and Deebs.
