Matthew Herbert Scores 'Nude' Project with the Gross Sounds of a Human Body

Matthew Herbert has often thought outside of the box, like when he pressed up an edible tortilla record earlier this year, or when he used a porcine life-cycle to score his controversial One Pig project. The UK sound experimenter has apparently gone au naturel for his next release, which samples all the crazy sounds associated with the human body.

Herbert's A Nude (The Perfect Body) arrives July 1 through Accidental Records. It's explained in a press release [via Pitchfork] that the sound artist recorded the sounds of a naked body over the course of 24 hours, with the goal to present "a musical nude in its purest form."

The album tracks the nude as it "eats, sleeps, washes, wees, trims, wanks, moves, poos and so on." The record is pretty frank with revealing what all is going on in each track, with titles including "is sleeping," "is coming," and "is shitting." One could assume this is a natural progression for an artist that once issued an album called Bodily Functions.

Though the tracklist can be seen down below, samples from the set have yet to be released. That'd be its cover art up above.

A Nude (The Perfect Body):

1. is sleeping
2. is awake
3. is grooming
4. is hurting
5. is eating
6. is moving
7. is coming
8. is shitting
