Matt Epp Announces 'Ready in Time' LP, Shares Title Track

BY Alex HudsonPublished Apr 23, 2015

Back in the fall, Winnipeg folkie Matt Epp released his Luma EP and declared it "the beginning of a new era" in his career. Now, he's pressing ahead with this new phase by releasing a full-length called Ready in Time on June 23.

The album was produced by Rusty Matyas (of Imaginary Cities and the Sheepdogs). It includes a modest eight songs, but a press release promises that it "packs big sounds and ideas into its relatively short length." The songs apparently touch on "orchestral pop," "heavy, fuzzed-out overdrive" and "nostalgic Americana."

For a taste of the album's sound, hear the upbeat, roots-rocking title cut at the bottom of this page.

Also below, scroll past the tracklist to see Epp's upcoming Canadian tour schedule, which lasts for a month in June and July. He's currently in the midst of a spring European tour, and his international itinerary can be seen here.
