Matrixxman Announces 'StuxNet' 12-inch, Debuts New Single

San Francisco-based DJ/producer Charles McCloud Duff is better known by his Matrixxman moniker these days, and he's ready to release some new material.

His latest music will arrive in the form of a 12-inch titled StuxNet, which will be available on March 16 via Ghostly.

The four-song collection marks the follow-up to last year's Amulet EP, which heard Duff "harnessing his tastes for smooth retro styles and edgier contemporary ideas."

StuxNet's title track, meanwhile, is delivered as two distinct parts — the "deep and driving stomper 'Part I' and a rubbery, percussive groove as 'Part II,'" as noted by a recent press release. "Each section operates independently of the other, and yet both share vital DNA sourced from early acid jams and Duff's refined hardware techniques."

In addition to the dual-part lead track, the 12-inch will offer remixes of two Amulet tracks, courtesy of Heiroglyphic Being and Silent Servant. You can check out the full tracklisting below.

Prefacing the album announcement, "StuxNet Part II" was recently played by revered electronic musician Jon Hopkins during his BBC 1 Radio Residency. If you didn't catch the show, you can still stream the second part of Matrixxman's latest title track in the player below.

StuxNet:

1. StuxNet I
