Mastodon guitarist/vocalist Brent Hinds was reportedly attacked following the band's appearance at the MTV VMAs Sunday night. The band's management released this statement to Blabbermouth.net:
"Mastodon guitarist/vocalist Brent Hinds suffered a severe head injury after his performance on Sunday night's [September 9] MTV Video Music Awards in Las Vegas. He is being treated by a Las Vegas hospital where he remains hospitalized."
Though the details of the attack have not been confirmed as of yet, it reportedly happened soon after the band's performance (watch below) at the Palm Casino Fantasy Suites in Las Vegas.
