Atlanta, GA's metal masters Mastodon have announced a headlining North American tour in support of their latest effort, Crack The Skye, the follow-up to 2006's Blood Mountain. Fellow prog sludgers Kylesa and Intronaut will be supporting Mastodon on their run of U.S. and Canadian dates scheduled for the spring.
Mastodon have also recently announced that they will be performing Crack The Skye in its entirety, along with older fan favourites. Guitarist Bill Kelliher told Billboard.com that performing an entire album is new territory for the band, but "there's something about [the album] where it would be weird to leave a song out. We'll incorporate a whole stage show, which will hopefully make it even more exciting for kids to come see and more visually stimulating."
